Forward Security Inc., a North American company with offices in Vancouver, Toronto, and Austin, TX, specializing in application & cloud security products and services, is proud to announce that it has received funding through the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP). Forward Security have been awarded $150,000 to support research and development of their Eureka Platform, a threat, and vulnerability management service. This is in addition to the $100,000 that was awarded in 2020 to contribute to this project.
“There is a lack of a single platform that ties all the tools and processes together that developers use on a daily basis while building software. This funding is going to help address the challenges faced by Dev teams and resolve many issues that I have encountered first hand over the last decade.”
said Farshad Abasi, CSO and Founder of Forward Security.
The Forward Security NRC IRAP project will cover the next stage of development in its Eureka platform, which will include integration of additional scanners (estimated at 20 scanners), multiple project support, client management features, UI enhancements, additional issue types, integration with other development tools (e.g. Atlassian Jira), and building a Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM) service that allows management of issues across automated and manual processes.
“Many organizations spend hours trying to manage their AppSec issues discovered by various security scanners, as well as manual processes. The Eureka platform can act as a single place for orchestration and management of AppSec tools and threats while keeping everything within the developer’s existing work flows”
said Farshad Abasi, CSO and Founder of Forward Security.
